Hello FCA Family! As we eagerly look ahead to the Fall 2021 season, please see the information below regarding high school sports for the fall season. Please read this information in its entirety:

High School Sports

The fall high school sports are listed below:

• Boys Soccer
• Girls Soccer
• Girls Volleyball
• Co-Ed Cross Country

Sports Fee

There will be a small increase in our sports fee that will be effective in the fall.  The sports fee for each season, will be $300 for MS and $350 for Varsity Sports.  The fee will be added to your Smart Tuition account and subsidizes uniforms, coaches pay, equipment, maintenance, transportation, and many other elements that play into the student athlete experience at FCA.  FCA sees the value in athletics and will continue to fund the vast majority of athletic costs.

This increase is necessary due to the rising costs associated with transportation, Insurance, trainers and referees/officials and being able to give our amazing coaches a much-deserved raise.   Be assured we have enacted the smallest increase possible while continuing to ensure the quality of all our athletic programs.

Practices

The first official day of practices for the Fall 2021 season is Monday, August 16.

Finalized pre-season schedules for each sport will be communicated closer to the first official day of practice.

Please make sure that your student-athlete’s PIAA CIPPE physical is completed BEFORE this date (see below for more detail).

Game Schedules & Website

FCA is in the process of revitalizing the school website, which will host a user-friendly athletics webpage with real-time updates to team schedules. Please watch your email for the official launch of this exciting upgrade to FCA.

Student Central Portal

Faith Christian Academy Athletics will now be utilizing the Student Central portal. This digital platform will allow you and your student-athlete(s) to complete and access athletic forms via computer, tablet, or mobile phone. It is HIPAA, COPPA and FERPA compliant. This platform will also allow you to digitally complete the required PIAA CIPPE physical (see below), as well as receive real time updates regarding the athletics schedule for your student-athlete(s) team.

I have attached instructions on how to access the portal and create accounts for you and your student-athlete(s). There is also a very helpful YouTube link below that can assist you with creating your account.

Student-athletes MUST create their individual accounts before linking their parent(s) account(s).

PIAA Physical Forms

As a reminder, all Faith Christian Academy student-athletes must receive an annual physical examination by a certified medical professional and submit the completed PIAA CIPPE forms BEFORE the start of their sport season.

Student-athletes will not be able to participate in any official practices or compete in any scrimmages or contests before their PIAA CIPPE form is submitted to the Student Central Portal. Please make sure that all requested information is filled out with the appropriate signatures by the physician, parent/guardian, and student-athlete.

As a note, the PIAA has updated the CIPPE form for this upcoming academic year.

There are walk-in clinics available that will complete the CIPPE form for your student-athlete. As long as your child does not have any pre-existing conditions, the St. Luke's CareNow centers are a great option and available for walk-in appointments dependent on the location. Many of our student-athletes use these centers as they are quick and efficient. All you have to do is take the paperwork for the PIAA form with you to be completed by the physician.
